Though the 2030 Agenda is broad and interdependent, two years after its adoption, the SDGs were made more actionable: specific targets were identified for each goal, along with indicators used to measure their progress.
The targets specify either circumstances to be attained or means of implementation, to be achieved between 2020 and 2030.
