Pistoletto Third Paradise, The City of Art
The term paradise derives from the ancient Persian language and means “protected garden.” We are the gardeners who must protect this planet and take care of the human society that inhabits it.
Pistoletto’s Third Paradise is an artistic and social project that proposes a vision of balance between nature and artifice. The term paradise derives from ancient Persian and means “protected garden.” In this sense, we are called to be the gardeners of our planet: guardians of the Earth and the society that inhabits it.
Conceived by artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, the Third Paradise is based on a symbol: a reworking of the infinity sign, in which two opposing circles—representing nature and technology—come together in a third central circle. This space symbolizes common ground, fertile and sustainable, where technological evolution is reconciled with the fundamental principles of life.
The Pistoletto Foundation, based in Biella, is an international center for art and social change. Also known as Cittadellarte, it promotes cultural, educational, and environmental initiatives inspired by the values of the Third Paradise. The foundation works for a responsible transformation of society through creativity.
As an Ambassador of the Third Paradise, I promote the values of this project through collaborations, visions, and concrete actions. Each ambassador receives a personalized logo, which becomes a symbol of their mission within a global network of regeneration and connection between humans and nature.
