I began moderating debates and presenting events after attending many conferences. This has helped me understand how important it is to engage the public. My goal is to ensure that everyone is fulfilled by the experience. I do extensive research on speakers in order to present them not only as professionals but as people with passions and interests, and I interact with the participants so they become active members of the event. Being bilingual allows me to relate to people on and off stage fluently in both English and Italian.
I have developed a format of short interviews with speakers for those interested in uploading summaries of the event online.

On September 27, 2023, Cristina moderated the roundtable “The Role and Sustainability of Steel Constructions in the Circular Economy” during I’m Steel Here, an event organized by Fondazione Promozione Acciaio.
World Happiness Report – Parma Green Week
On June 7, 2022, during the Parma Green Week Festival, Davines hosted a thought-provoking evening to present the latest findings of the World Happiness Report. Cristina moderated a panel that brought the experience of Davide Bollati, host and CEO of Davines, the views of social psychologist Lara Aknin, associate editor of the WHR, Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University, co-chair of the Regenerative Society Foundation, editor of the WHR and a true eminence in sustainable development, and passionate young activist Nadia Paleari.
The Health of the World
On April 20 2022 Cristina moderated a conversation at Fondazione Feltrinelli in Milan with Paolo Vineis and Luca Savarino, authors of The Health of the World , and Andrea Illy, Co-Chair of the Regenerative Society Foundation. It was an animated discussion with the aim of exploring the interconnection between the health of the planet and the health of humans, enriched by the different perspectives of a philosopher, an epidemiologist, an entrepreneur and a journalist.
Barcolana Sea Summit
During Trieste’s Barcolana regatta, from October 7 – 9 2021 Cristina hosted the Barcolana Sea Summit alongside Raimondo Orsini and moderated numerous panels. A three day event dedicated to the ocean and new pathways to sustainability, attended by researchers, industry experts, ministers, and various stakeholders.
Unesco Creative Cities Forum
On October 3rd 2021, at the UNESCO Creative Cities Forum during Arcipelago – Festival Creatività Sostenibile 2021, Cristina moderated the panel “Textiles, Fashion and Sustainable Development” at Fondazione Pistoletto – Cittadellarte, and also interviewed its founder: the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.

Cristina presented and moderated AWorld of Actions, an event on September 25 2021 to support AWorld’s and the UN’s 1millionactions campaign.
Architecting the Future – IBM
On March 17th 2021, Cristina presented and moderated Architecting the Future, an overview of IBM’s latest innovations in cloud computing, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Regeneration 20|30
Cristina presented Regeneration 20|30. A hybrid two-day event, live and online, dedicated to sustainable development in three pillars: regenerative economy, climate action and world happiness. She also moderated two sessions: Happy Individuals, Happy Organizations – on happiness as an indicator of wellbeing and success – and Measurement Tools for a Regeneration Path – exploring the myriad ESG indices that exist today and how they can evolve to better serve us. Some of the experts included: Prof. Dan Esty – Yale, Jeffrey Sachs, Karen Guggenheim, Paolo Di Cesare, Oscar di Montigny, Davide Bollati, Mario Pezzini, Marco Alverà and Sandro Formica, PhD.
COVID-19: A Conversation with Frank Snowden
In July 2020 the NYU Alumni Club of Italy, in partnership with the local chapters of Yale and Harvard, presented COVID-19: A Conversation with Prof. Emeritus Frank Snowden. Author of many insightful books including Epidemics and Society: From the Black Death to the Present, he shared his perspective on the impact of a global lack of preparedness at the onset of the virus.
T4SD – Trade for Sustainable Development Forum
Cristina moderated three sessions during the T4SD Forum for the UN’s International Trade Centre in Geneva, October 2019. The 6th edition reflected upon the new realities of international trade and focused on mainstreaming sustainable practices throughout complex supply chains and compliance measures. The three-day event staged compelling conversations between policy makers, farmers, activists and entrepreneurs to analyze environmental and social dimensions of implementation from SMEs to large corporations.
The Sustain-Ability 2019
At Italcementi’s Kilometro Rosso headquarters, Cristina presented and moderated The Sustain-Ability, organized by the German-Italian Chamber of Commerce. What are the innovations that entrepreneurs are adopting to implement the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? On stage, industry leaders from design to food, took a systemic look at the topic of sustainable development.
Seeds & Chips
From May 6-9 2019, during the fifth edition of Seeds & Chips – the global food innovation summit – Cristina was Honorary Host for the opening, closing and award ceremonies. Also, she moderated various panels during the summit, with international experts such as: Kerry Kennedy, Elisabetta Illy, Susan Rockefeller, David Barber, and many others.
Guiltlessplastic
Cristina was part of the inception and development of Rosanna Orlandi’s Guiltlessplastic, as Strategy and Sustainability Advisor to the project and during the International Salone del Mobile 2019, she served as a jury member of the RO Plastic Prize, an international prize to stimulate the design community to reinvent the use of plastic. On April 11th, Cristina conducted RO RING at Galleria Rossana Orlandi, a match between experts on the complex theme of plastic.

On March 1, 2019, during the inaugural Public Symposium of Broken Nature, the XXII Triennale di Milano. Cristina moderated Slow Treasures. A conversation with Amy Franceschini of Seed Journey; Frederico Duarte; Daniela Ducato and Jacopo Ruggieri of Edizero.
Singularity University Italy Summit
In September 2017 Cristina moderated the first Singularity University Summit Italy in Milan on exponential technologies, a two-day conference with 20 experts from around the world and an audience of 1,300 guests.
Regenerative Design and Plants – World Forum on Urban Forests
On November 30th 2018, during the first World Forum on Urban Forests, Cristina moderated a meeting between Paola Antonelli and Stefano Mancuso: Regenerative design and plants: complementary answers to our present problems.
Milano Design Film Festival 2018
During the Milano Design Film Festival on October 25th Cristina presented Albatross, a film by the American artist Chris Jordan and following the screening, she guided a Q&A session between Chris and the public.
On October 26th Cristina moderated a debate between Chris Jordan and the Chinese entrepreneur and CEO of Miniwiz, Arthur Huang – there to present his movie Jackie Chan’s Green Heroes.
Under the Bamboo Tree – Labirinto della Masone
Cristina moderated a 9 hour conference about the extraordinary virtues of bamboo during the third edition of Under the Bamboo Tree at Franco Maria Ricci’s Labirinto della Masone.
Senso di colpa – Rossana Orlandi
Cristina moderated Senso di colpa at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during the Salone del Mobile 2018. A 9-hour conference organized by Rossana Orlandi, where designers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and travelers shared their stories, commitments and objectives regarding the global problem of plastic pollution.
