From May 6-9, 2019 during the fifth edition of Seeds&Chips Cristina was Honorary Host for the opening, closing and award ceremonies. Also, she moderated various panels during the summit, with international experts such as: Kerry Kennedy, Elisabetta Illy, Susan Rockefeller, David Barber, and many others.

Every year since 2015, the Seeds&Chips Global Food Innovation Summit has brought together and expanded its ecosystem of young people, policymakers, entrepreneurs, institutions, startups, corporations, universities, accelerators and incubators, NGOs, investors and opinion leaders from all over the world.

“Regenerative Agriculture” describes farming and grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity – resulting in both carbon drawdown and improving the water cycle. In this panel, we will hear from a group of exceptional individuals who put this practice to work as well as explore the many benefits that come from the use of such practices for both people and our planet.

The health of ecosystems – along with their capacity to provide the food, air, water and medicine we all depend on – is intricately linked with the tremendous variety of life forms that inhabit them. They are only has strong as they are diverse and each species lost adds to the likelihood of an unmanageable crisis. This session will explore the trends causing biodiversity loss and the innovative methods of sustainable agriculture that will reverse them.

Goals on Tour:

Goals on Tour is a global campaign to create public awareness and support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sixteen shipping containers filled with content pertaining to the SDGs will function as a traveling exhibition on a sustainable journey around the world. Visitors can experience the art installations and displays of public and private sector initiatives that work toward the realization of the SDGs.
